It looks like Adobe has for the first time publicly confirmed that Flash Player for the iPhone is currently under development and they're just waiting for the go-ahead from Apple:

Enhanced search engine indexing for your swfs

I'm sure you've seen it around the blogosphere already (it was all over the place by the time I got to work this morning), but here it is again: Adobe has teamed up with Google and Yahoo! to make the Flash file format (swf) more search engine friendly.

Now, rather than requoting what other people have written, here are a couple of links:

Flash Player downgrade via XP-SP3?

Hey guys. I've been really busy for a while with raising my two beautiful children, changing jobs, moving into a new house, etc, etc, etc. As a result it's been a while since I've posted here (or on my own blog), but I'm making an effort to get back to the Flash and Flex communities now that things are "settling down" a little.

To kick off my effort, I'd like to share some information I came across today and that information can be found in this post on Guya.net (which linked to this). Apparently the Windows XP SP3 update downgrades your Flash Player to version 8.0.24.0 which opens it back up to these vulnerabilities. So, as mentioned in the Guya.net post, please update your Flash Player here if you update to Windows XP SP3.

That's all I have for now, but I plan to do my best to get back into contributing information, code, links, fun stuff and anything else from which you may gain benifit or enjoyment.

Help! IE won’t recognize my install of Adobe Flash Player

I've been pulling my hair out lately over the fact that IE7 refuses to acknowledge that I already "have the latest Flash Player installed". Firefox 2 plays nice – but sites with Flash content in IE – nothing but blank content and annoying prompts to download a Flash player I already have.

Then I stumbled upon this patch from Adobe:

…and everything's been great ever since.

Hope this helps out.
